Compressor oil collected
Air compressors need regular oil changes, and oil-lubricated compressors also produce condensate: water with oil in it that collects in receivers, dryers and separators. Both the used oil and the oily condensate need collecting by a licensed carrier.
BL Oils is a Doncaster-based, Environment Agency upper-tier waste carrier and dealer (CBDU69834). We collect across all of Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, often on the same visit as your waste oil collection.
What we collect
- Used compressor oil from screw, piston and rotary vane compressors
- Oily condensate from receivers, dryers and drains (see oily water disposal)
- Used oil and air/oil separator filters
- Refrigeration compressor oil drained during servicing (tell us when you book)
Who we collect from: factories, workshops, compressor service engineers, garages, food and packing sites and industrial sites.
We don’t collect cooking oil. For used cooking oil from kitchens and takeaways, please use a specialist cooking oil collector.

Service visits and big changes
Compressor engineers often bring used oil back to their depot. We collect from there, or straight from your site if the oil is stored there. Planning a large oil change or a compressor replacement? Tell us roughly how much oil to expect and we’ll plan around it.
Good storage
- Keep compressor oil in sealed, labelled drums or a bunded tank
- Keep condensate in its own container, not in the oil drum
- Don’t let condensate drain to a surface water drain
Paperwork
Used compressor oil is hazardous waste, so every collection comes with a hazardous waste consignment note and your duty of care is covered. Our registration, CBDU69834, can be checked on the Environment Agency’s public register. See consignment notes explained.
Phone answered 24/7. Call or WhatsApp 07785 921493 any time, including evenings and weekends. Leak or spill? See our emergency call-out.
