Waste oil collection for businesses and farms
Any site that runs engines, machinery or plant ends up with waste oil, and it has to leave your site with a licensed carrier. BL Oils is a Doncaster-based waste oil collection company, established in 2000, holding Environment Agency waste carrier and dealer registration CBDU69834. We collect from businesses and farms across all of Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
Whether you fill a couple of drums a season or run a bulk waste oil tank, tell us what you have and where it’s stored. We’ll give you a free quote, agree a collection that fits around your work, and leave you the correct paperwork.

- Hydraulic oil from plant, lifts, presses, loaders and farm machinery (hydraulic oil disposal)

Collected with paperwork
We pump out tanks or take drums and IBCs, and leave you a hazardous waste consignment note.

Who we collect from
Most of our work is with businesses and farms that produce oil as part of the job:
- Garages, MOT centres and workshops, and dealerships
- Hauliers and fleet depots
- Plant hire and construction firms, and forklift hire and servicing
- Farms and agricultural contractors
- Factories, engineering firms and industrial sites
- Councils and public bodies
- Ports, vessels and quaysides
Collections from drums, IBCs and bulk tanks
Our tanker can empty a bulk waste oil tank, and we take sealed drums, IBCs and other containers. You can book regular collections on a schedule, or call us when your tank is getting full. If a tank is overfull or leaking, see our emergency waste oil collection.
Farms and rural sites
Tractors, combines, telehandlers and generators all produce engine, hydraulic and gear oil, and many farms also have an old heating oil or diesel tank to deal with. We collect from farmyards across our area. Just tell us about access for a tanker, and whether the oil is in drums or a tank.
Getting your oil ready
- Keep waste oil in a bunded tank or sealed, labelled drums or IBCs
- Store it away from drains, ditches and watercourses
- Don’t mix oil with water, fuel, solvents or coolant where you can avoid it
- Make sure containers are easy to reach on collection day

Paperwork and your duty of care
Waste oil is hazardous waste. Every collection comes with a hazardous waste consignment note, so your duty of care is covered and you have a record if anyone asks. Our registration, CBDU69834, can be checked on the Environment Agency’s public register. The oil then goes to a permitted facility to be recycled or recovered. Read consignment notes explained and is waste oil hazardous waste?
Local to you
From our Doncaster base we collect across South, West, North and East Yorkshire, including Doncaster, Rotherham, Barnsley, Sheffield, Wakefield, Leeds, York and Hull, plus Chesterfield, Nottingham, Lincoln and Scunthorpe.
