Waste oil collections, made simple
Full drums in the corner of the workshop, an IBC that needs emptying, or a waste oil tank that’s nearly at the top: BL Oils handles waste oil removal for businesses across all of Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
We’re based in Doncaster and registered with the Environment Agency as an upper-tier waste carrier and dealer (CBDU69834). You tell us what you’ve got, we give you a free quote, and we arrange the collection of waste oil from your site with the correct paperwork.
What we remove
- All types of waste oil: engine, gearbox, hydraulic, industrial, compressor and heating oil residues
- Oil from drums, IBCs, small containers and bulk tanks
- Used oil filters (oil filter disposal)
- Interceptor waste (interceptor waste)
- Marine waste oil at Hull, Goole, Immingham and Killingholme (marine waste oil)
We don’t collect cooking oil. For used cooking oil from kitchens and takeaways, please use a specialist cooking oil collector.
Tell us what you’ve got
Oil type, roughly how many litres, drums or IBCs, and your postcode, by phone, WhatsApp or the quote form.
Free quote & booking
We give you a free, no-obligation quote and agree a collection day that works for your site.
Collected with paperwork
We collect the oil, leave you the correct paperwork, and take it to a permitted facility.

One-off or regular collections
Some customers need a one-off oil waste collection, for example after clearing out a unit or decommissioning a machine. Others prefer regular waste oil collections. Either way, tell us roughly how much you have and how often it builds up, and we’ll plan around you.
How it works
It’s a short process. Call, WhatsApp or send the quote form with the oil type, roughly how much there is and your postcode. We’ll come back with a free, no-obligation quote and agree a day. On the day, we pump or load the oil, check everything is sealed and tidy, and leave you the paperwork. If you’re not sure how much oil you have, count your drums and IBCs, or give us your tank size and roughly how full it is.
Before we arrive
- Make sure drums and containers are sealed and easy to reach
- Let us know about access for a tanker and any site rules
- Keep oil separate from water, antifreeze and other liquids
Who we remove waste oil for
Our oil waste collection customers include garages and workshops, fleet and haulage depots, plant hire and construction firms, farms and agricultural contractors, factories and commercial sites, and vessels in port.
Why use a licensed carrier?
Waste oil is hazardous waste, and you’re responsible for it until it’s handed to someone authorised to take it. Using a registered carrier, and keeping the paperwork, is the simplest way to show you’ve met your duty of care. Our registration number, CBDU69834, is on the Environment Agency public register.
Waste oil is hazardous waste, so you’ll get the correct paperwork with every removal. See waste oil disposal for more on the rules, and waste oil collection for the full list of oils we take.
Frequently asked questions
Can you do a one-off removal?
Yes. Tell us what you’ve got and roughly how much, and we’ll give you a free quote for a one-off collection.
Do you remove waste oil tanks?
We remove the waste oil from your tank. If you need the tank itself removed, tell us what you have and we’ll let you know whether we can help.
Is waste oil removal different from waste oil collection?
No, they mean the same thing: we come to your site, take the waste oil away legally and give you the paperwork.
Which areas do you cover?
We’re based in Doncaster and cover all of Yorkshire, plus Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
Do you collect used oil filters at the same time?
Yes. We collect used oil filters alongside your waste oil, so it’s one visit and one set of paperwork.
How do I book a collection of waste oil?
