Urgent waste oil problem? Call us now, day or night. Our phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including nights, weekends and bank holidays.
When waste oil can’t wait
Most waste oil collections are booked in advance. But sometimes a tank is about to overflow, a site is shutting down, or oil needs moving before it becomes a bigger problem. That’s when you need someone who picks up the phone.
BL Oils runs a 24-hour emergency call-out for urgent waste oil collection. Our phone is answered 24/7, including nights, weekends and bank holidays. Call 07785 921493 any time, tell us what’s happened, and we’ll tell you straight away what we can do and when.
We’re a Doncaster-based, Environment Agency upper-tier waste carrier and dealer (CBDU69834), covering all of Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, plus the ports of Hull, Goole, Immingham and Killingholme.
Typical emergency call-outs
- Overfull waste oil tanks that need emptying before they overflow
- Contained leaks, where oil is held in a bund, drip tray or bunded tank and needs removing
- Bunded tanks that have filled with oil, or with oil and rainwater
- Site shutdowns and closures, where waste oil has to be cleared at short notice
- Interceptor overflow, where an oil interceptor is full and needs emptying (see interceptor waste)
- Urgent marine removals at Hull, Goole, Immingham and Killingholme (see marine waste oil collection)
Pollution incident? If oil has reached, or could reach, a drain, river, stream or other watercourse, also call the Environment Agency incident hotline on 0800 80 70 60 (24 hours). BL Oils collects waste oil; we don’t provide spill clean-up or remediation.
Call us any time
Ring 07785 921493, day or night. Tell us what’s happened, the oil type, rough volume, how it’s stored and your postcode or port.
We agree the plan
We tell you honestly when we can attend and give you a free quote before anything is booked.
Collected with paperwork
The waste oil is collected with the correct paperwork and taken to a permitted facility.

What to do while you wait
- Keep people safe first, and stop adding oil to a full tank or container
- If it’s safe to do so, contain the oil with drip trays, spill kits or absorbents
- Protect nearby drains, and keep oil out of surface water drains
- Keep the area clear so a tanker can get in safely
- If oil has reached a drain or watercourse, call the Environment Agency on 0800 80 70 60
What we need to know when you call
The more you can tell us, the quicker we can plan: the type of oil, roughly how many litres, whether it’s in a tank, drums, IBCs or an interceptor, tanker access, and your postcode or port. If water is mixed in with the oil, tell us.
Collection, not clean-up
BL Oils collects and removes waste oil. We don’t provide spill response, clean-up or land and water remediation. If oil has escaped into the environment, you may need a specialist spill response contractor as well, and you should report it to the Environment Agency.
Paperwork, even in an emergency
Waste oil is hazardous waste. Every collection comes with the correct paperwork, normally a hazardous waste consignment note, so your duty of care is covered. See waste oil disposal and compliance & licence. For planned, regular collections, see waste oil collection.
Who we help out of hours: hauliers and fleet depots, highways and vehicle recovery, petrol stations and insurers and loss adjusters. Tank bund full after a leak? See bund emptying.
