Thermal fluid systems use heat transfer oil to carry heat around a process, in industries such as plastics, chemicals, printing, timber and building products. Over time the oil breaks down and has to be drained and replaced. The old oil is waste and needs collecting by a licensed carrier.

Planning a fluid change
A full drain-down can produce a lot of oil in one go, often during a planned shutdown. Tell us when the shutdown is, roughly how much oil to expect and how it will be stored. Let the oil cool before it’s collected. Our tanker can pump it from a tank or IBCs, or we can collect drums.

Used thermal oil is hazardous waste, so every collection comes with a hazardous waste consignment note and your duty of care is covered. Our registration, CBDU69834, can be checked on the Environment Agency’s public register. See consignment notes explained.
