Waste oil collection for commercial and industrial sites
Manufacturing plants, engineering works, warehouses, distribution centres and other commercial sites all produce waste oil, from hydraulic systems, presses, compressors, gearboxes and machine tools (see cutting oil and soluble coolant, heat transfer oil and oily water). BL Oils collects it and takes it to a permitted facility to be recycled or recovered, across all of Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
We’re based in Doncaster and registered with the Environment Agency as an upper-tier waste carrier and dealer (CBDU69834). Whether you’ve got a handful of drums or a bulk tank, we’ll give you a free quote and plan a collection around your site. Draining transformers or switchgear? See transformer oil disposal. Running cranes or lifting equipment? See crane hire waste oil collection. For councils, depots, recycling centres and public bodies, see council and public sector waste oil collection.
Oils we collect from industrial sites
- Hydraulic oil from presses, lifts, forklifts and machinery (see hydraulic oil disposal and forklift hire and servicing)
- Machine, lubricating and cutting oils
- Gear and transmission oils
- Compressor oil
- Engine oil from site vehicles and generators
- Heating and fuel oil residues
- Used oil filters (oil filter disposal)
- Interceptor waste from yards, loading bays and car parks (interceptor waste)
We collect from drums, IBCs and bulk storage tanks. See our main waste oil collection page for more, or waste oil removal for one-off clear-outs.

Tell us what you’ve got
Oil type, roughly how many litres, drums or IBCs, and your postcode, by phone, WhatsApp or the quote form.
Free quote & booking
We give you a free, no-obligation quote and agree a collection day that works for your site.
Collected with paperwork
We collect the oil and leave you the correct paperwork for your records.

Working around your site
Tell us about access, site rules and any induction you need before we arrive, and we’ll plan the collection around your shifts and deliveries. If you have more than one site, we can arrange collections for each of them.
Getting oil ready for collection
- Store waste oil in sealed, labelled containers or a bunded tank
- Keep different oils separate where you can
- Don’t mix oil with water, coolant, solvents or other chemicals
- Make sure containers can be reached safely on collection day
Waste oil is hazardous waste, and your duty of care means it must go to someone authorised to take it. We leave the correct paperwork with every collection.
Frequently asked questions
Can you collect from more than one of our sites?
Yes. Tell us where your sites are and roughly how much oil each one produces, and we’ll quote for each site.
Do you collect bulk quantities?
Yes. We collect from drums and IBCs through to bulk waste oil tanks. Tell us roughly how much you have and we’ll plan the collection.
Do you empty interceptors on industrial sites?
Yes. We collect interceptor waste (the oily water, oil and silt from oil/water interceptors and separators) from yards, loading bays and car parks. See interceptor waste.
What paperwork do we get?
Every collection comes with the correct waste paperwork for your records. Waste oil is hazardous waste, so this is normally a hazardous waste consignment note.
Where we work: we collect across all of Yorkshire, plus Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. See areas we cover, or call or WhatsApp 07785 921493 with your postcode.
