Waste oil collection for farms
Tractors, combines, sprayers, loaders and other farm machinery get through a lot of oil, and servicing often happens at the same time of year, so used oil can build up fast. BL Oils collects waste oil from arable and livestock farms, estates and agricultural contractors across all of Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
We’re based in Doncaster and registered with the Environment Agency as an upper-tier waste carrier and dealer (CBDU69834). We give you a free quote, book a collection around your season, and leave the correct paperwork.
What we collect from farms
- Engine oil from tractors, combines, telehandlers and farm vehicles
- Hydraulic oil from tractors, loaders and implements
- Gearbox, transmission and axle oils
- Compressor oil
- Heating and fuel oil residues
- Used oil filters (oil filter disposal)
- Contaminated red diesel, diesel and heating oil from farm tanks (see red diesel disposal and heating oil disposal)
We collect from drums, IBCs and waste oil tanks. See waste oil collection for more, or waste oil removal for a one-off clear-out.

Planning around your season
If you service machinery before or after harvest or drilling, let us know when you expect to have oil ready and we’ll plan a collection around it. Tell us about access for a tanker and where the oil is stored.
Storing waste oil on the farm
- Keep waste oil in sealed drums or a bunded tank, under cover
- Store it well away from drains, ditches, ponds and watercourses (see how to store waste oil)
- Don’t mix it with water, antifreeze, fuel or chemicals
- Never burn waste oil (see can you burn waste oil?) or spread it on land
Waste oil is hazardous waste. Under your duty of care it must go to someone authorised to take it, and you should keep the paperwork.
